harryjw Such a cool, spooky album. These guys are out to rock in a kind of spiny, nerdy way, with cute funny lyrics and some great raw noise. This album will take you on a little dark journey. Favorite track: Spoons.
Steve Lawson

Steve Lawson another great record with Ruth Goller on it? Yup. Strong echoes of 90s DC Punk - Fugazi/Shellac etc. but with some spikier, jazzier harmonies in there, perhaps echoing some of Ian McKaye's post-Fugazi projects. Love this a whole lot. Geddit.

vaun norman This is the most interesting and diverse set of songs imaginable, the music is ultra postmodern indie rockfused with clever and witty lyrics. Musicianship of the highest order. Favorite track: Nebraska Admiral.

This is a man He is just mad This is a man He is just mad I'm a stranger here myself... This where he live If he lives at all Once you been there You've been somewhere I'm a stranger here myself...

Not Yet 02:55
Birds and bees and educated fleas But not me Worms and whales and everything between Makes me green Rabbits are particularly bad The very thought of it could drive me mad Flowers don't say no to the bees But they all say no to me...

I'm askin' If you're Nebraskan Can I join your navy? Would you nominate me? I want to be a Nebraska Admiral... An honorary title Performing duties vital There is no money in it But I'd really like to win it I want to be a Nebraska Admiral...

Ah, the French champagne Is noted for its excellence There is a California wine Inspired... By that same French excellence It's fermented In the bottle Like the best champagnes It's vintage dated So Paul Masson... CUT!

Tell a joke but Billy's gone and spoiled it Gave away the punchline 'cause he's heard it He had plans to use it in his own speech Sexually aggressive ceilidh dancer In his head he chants "be the bull - BE IT!" Stamp his foot so hard he breaks the dance floor

Spoons 04:46
When the rest are just confused You'll be understanding If your spoons are running low I won't be demanding I've a feeling just like home When I'm over your place I don't need a camera To remember your face I wish that we could live in a library All the crap we own far as I can see I've a feeling just like home When I'm over your place I don't need a camera To remember your face Can I take a picture anyway please?

Oh-oh... I can't complain That's the reason it took me so long to write again Catch a train Then a train Then a train I know, yes I know you'll keep me entertained And I'll never want to go back home again I won't miss My TV We'll see if we get so far, we get so far That all we know, all we know is our guitars Catch a train Then a train Then a train Then a bus!

Moustache 01:55
[Ally] I haven't slept In like eight days It's hard, you know Hard being me [Ruth] What's the worst part Of being you? [Ally] Moustache... I take a drink It dips in my cup Tickles my lip And wakes me up [Ruth] Did you never think Just shave it off? [Ally] I can't do that It's my moustache

My finger's on the switch, switch If I push my hand in it Could I become electric? I find my beauty in, in Bridges and cities And the angular spirals we both draw Like we feel the same way About junk and stuff Like we feel the same way It's getting harder To beat all of my high scores I'm not really improving all that much Maybe I should change I should change THE GAME Maybe I should change
11.
So it goes, so it went We never saw Phil again Jon still blames Andy And everyone agrees So Jon's punching Andy And everyone's cheering Jon still blames Andy And everyone agrees, everyone... You ugly son of a bitch You've a face for radio And a voice for magazines

The Bucket 02:21
I'm so easy to wind up I gave you the key There is nothing you could say That would put me off I can't win, I can't win, I can't win Then again I don't really want to I'm so easy to wind up I gave you the key I can't win, I can't win, I can't win Then again I don't really want to Will this mind ne'er be clean? I'll calm down if you give me THE BUCKET...
